Help Support Pavel Yusenko After Devastating Car Accident

On the morning of Monday, May 12th, my parents, Pavel and Oksana Yusenko, and my younger brother David were involved in a devastating car accident. By God’s grace, my mom and brother walked away with only minor bruises and scratches. Unfortunately, my father, Pavel, sustained life-threatening injuries.

He had to be cut out of the vehicle and was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. He was placed on life support for three days and has since undergone multiple extensive surgeries. These included reconstructive surgery on his shattered pelvis and broken leg, the insertion of plates and screws, the placement of two chest tubes for collapsed lungs, and a complex operation to stop internal bleeding. Surgeons had to repair his torn diaphragm, large and small intestines, and remove his spleen. He is also on a nerve block to manage the severe pain from multiple broken ribs.

While we are incredibly grateful that he is showing signs of progress, Pavel remains in critical condition in the ICU and faces a long and difficult road to recovery. Doctors have told us that he will not be able to walk for at least three months due to the severity of his injuries, particularly the reconstructed pelvis and leg.

As our family begins to navigate this overwhelming journey, we would greatly appreciate the help in raising funds to help support the family. Pavel is the primary provider for his family, and his inability to work in the coming months will place a significant financial burden on them. In addition to mounting medical bills and daily living expenses, we will need to make our home wheelchair-accessible to accommodate his recovery.
