Help Support Patty's Recovery

Hello friends. My mom, Patty, is the most hardworking person I know. For the past 30 years, she has grinded as a blue-collar worker enduring physically demanding jobs but never complained once. Growing up, she would work 2 to 3 jobs to ensure that there was food on the table, even if it was at the expense of her own comfort. Now that she's older, all that demanding work has finally caught up to her.

Some of you may know that back in 2015, my mom almost passed away due to a genetic heart condition and had emergency open-heart surgery. We thought that would be the end of her health problems. Unfortunately, we were wrong.

My mom will be getting double knee replacement surgery this year. Although this is a pretty standard procedure for most people, she is a high-risk patient. Due to her heart condition, she cannot be under anesthesia for long periods of time. Her heart simply cannot take it. Because of this, she will need to get several surgeries over the next few months. This means that she cannot work during this time or during her months of recovery.

I am fortunate enough to have a job, but I cannot juggle both our financial responsibilities by myself. While we have applied for government assistance, it's a months-long process with no guarantee. I'm not the best at asking for help, but I find myself in need to reach out.

I've started a GoFundMe to help lighten the financial load. I understand these past couple of years have been hard on everyone financially, so only if you are able, please consider donating.
