Hello everyone, my name is Olivia and I'm writing this on behalf of my older brother, Patrick. As some of you may know, within the last year Patrick underwent surgery and subsequent treatment for thyroid cancer. Over the last few months, he and his wife, Kait, have dealt with many associated expenses and logistical challenges surrounding this process, in addition to working full-time as medical professionals and caring for their two young children, Isla and Declan.

Now, only about 6 months later, Patrick is facing some complications with his health that will require additional resources and specialized care. Though his treatment plan is still evolving, we do know that he will soon be undergoing a radical lateral and central neck dissection, which is a more invasive procedure requiring several weeks of recovery. We are creating this GoFundMe in the hope that we can help ease some stress for Patrick and his family with regard to the overwhelming financial burden they will be facing in the coming months. We feel that limiting his stress however possible is vital so that he can focus more fully on his recovery.

If you know Patrick, you'll know that this is not a request he'd make easily. I'm sure many of you also know what a wonderful and hard-working person my brother is. I know that he is so grateful for all of the support he's received thus far during this difficult time. Now, with things becoming even more overwhelming, Patrick and his family would be so thankful for any additional support we can provide them. They also want to make it known that any additional funds collected beyond what is put toward their mortgage and related bills will be donated to charity for the fight against cancer.
