TEAM TRICIA: Help support my mom overcome stage 4 colon cancer
Tricia Herndon is a loving mother, grammy, sister, aunt and friend. She has four adult kids, two adult stepdaughters, and 11 living grandchildren ( 2 in heaven) she wants to see grow up. Tricia is a devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with an unshakable belief that God has a miracle in store for her life. She also teaches children in her church Sunday school. Before she retired just a few years ago, she devoted 40 years to working with children as a diagnostician for multiple schools. She was widowed almost five years ago when colon cancer took the love of her life. She stood by his side and watched him go through his cancer treatments, supporting him 100% of the way. It broke her heart as he transitioned, and now her thirst for life is focused on her children and grandchildren.
About a month ago, Tricia started having some stomach pain, and we quickly had her in for a doctor's appointment. After a CT scan, we were told she has cancerous masses in 4 areas of her abdomen. Her doctor did further testing and discovered it is stage 4 colon cancer. Tricia is currently starting Chemotherapy followed by genome therapy (not covered by insurance). We are asking for help with medical bills, food trains, lots of prayer warriors, and possibly help with finding homes for one or two loving cat's in the upcoming months.
My mom is a believer in collective consciousness, the power of positive thinking, and prayer. This is truly a challenging time for Tricia and her family. We ask that you pray for her healing and strength during this time.
If you can donate anything to help, we would greatly appreciate it.
