Help Support Pam’s Recovery After Her Liver Transplant

Donation protected
Hi there, I am Amanda Griffiths. I am setting up this GoFundMe for my mom, Pam Griffiths, as she is going through a liver transplant at OHSU.

In 2020, doctors found cancer in her liver. Since then, she has had multiple separate tumors pop up throughout her liver. She has gone through countless rounds of targeted radiation, also known as Y-90 treatment. She has also endured two rounds of targeted chemo that left her unable to leave the couch for almost two weeks. None of that was able to shrink the tumors on her liver, so last year in April, she got put on the liver transplant list. As of today, April 1st, she finally got the new liver she had been waiting for!

Throughout her battle with cancer, she has raised myself and my younger brother as a single mom and made sure that we were always taken care of. My dad passed in 2010, and since then, she has been the rock of our family, keeping us afloat. Since her cancer diagnosis, she has been unable to work due to the treatments and how they affected her. Once she is out of the ICU and the hospital as a whole, she, myself, and whoever else is able to come up and help during this time will have to stay in the Portland area for three months. This is in order for her to get to her numerous doctor's appointments she has to attend during the week.

I am going to try to commute back to Central Oregon as much as I can starting at the end of April once my uncle is able to come up to Portland. I am going to do this in order to work as much as I can and bring in an income to help support us while she recovers.

My mom is never one to ask for help, let alone financial help, but I am setting this up for her so it is one less thing she will have to worry about so she can focus on her recovery. I know that times are tough for everyone right now, but anything you are able to donate would be a wonderful help for us in this time. Thank you!
