Help Support Pam and Pappy’s health costs
Donation protected
Friends, I just wanted to give you an update. Pappy has been diagnosed with malignant geoblastoma in the lymph nodes, neck, tongue and face. He will be starting chemotherapy and radiation next week, which will require Pam to take him to Corpus every day, for at least the next three months. They are at the radiologists today so Pappy can have a custom helmet? made that will administer the radiation. This is going to be very costly, (co-pays and medicine not covered), but will also interfere with Pam’s work, and income. Any help you can offer is greatly appreciated.
Ali Kat is recovering very well. After a slight setback from an infection, she’s definitely headed towards full recovery, and Pam and Pappy are so grateful for this.
Anyone who knows my sister, Pam Greene, knows she’s always there when anyone needs help. Whether it’s keeping the beach clean, volunteering at the community theater, Historical Society, the garden club, the wildlife preserve, or any other organization that needs help, she’s right there. If she has money to spare, it’s a nonprofit, or a friend whose husband just died, or anyone else in need.
The last month has been very challenging for Pam. She got scammed out of a huge amount of money, and then her precious dog, Ali Kat (short for Alice Katrina), broke her leg. After a costly vet visit, it was determined that she needed surgery. Thanks to the huge generosity of a local nonprofit, Salty Paws, the cost of the surgery was covered. But the other original vet bills are just more than she’s able to absorb right now.
As if that wasn’t enough, they also just found out that the lump on Pappy's neck is cancerous. There’s no telling what added financial burden this health issue is going to add. Many people have asked how they can help, so here it is. Anything you can do to help Pam and Pappy out would be greatly appreciated.
She doesn’t like to ask for help, even though she’s always glad to give it, so I’m doing it for her.
