Our friend and colleague, Paige Hill, is a bright, determined, and truly inspiring young woman. At only 20 years old, she has already achieved so much - winning WA Trainee of the Year in 2023 for her outstanding dedication and hard work in a Sports and Recreation traineeship, being involved in community roles in Port Hedland since the age of 14, and now working as an apprentice telecommunications technician in the mining industry.

Paige’s future was looking full of promise. She had been planning a well-deserved trip to Europe to celebrate her achievements and recharge after years of commitment to her career. Instead, her world turned upside down when she received the devastating news of a breast cancer diagnosis.

With incredible courage, Paige has already undergone surgery and is now facing six rounds of chemotherapy. To access the medical services she needs, Paige and her family had to quickly relocate from Port Hedland to Perth, adding even more stress and challenges to an already physically, emotionally and financially difficult journey.

We want to give Paige something positive to look forward to — whether that’s future travel, special experiences, or simply easing some of the pressures that come with her treatment. This fundraiser is about showing her that she is not alone, and that her work family, friends, and community are here to lift her up during this difficult time.
