I am reaching out for my dog Paco, a Chihuahua mixed with a French Bulldog, who is a deeply loved member of our family.

On Sunday, April 12th, Paco accidentally slipped out through a door as we were coming home. Within seconds, he was hit by a fast-moving pick-up truck in a hit-and-run. The driver did not stop.

Since the accident, Paco has been unable to walk properly. His back legs are extremely weak and currently not functional, he is also showing signs of serious trauma affecting his neck and spine. Veterinary evaluations suggest spinal trauma with possible neurological impairment impacting his hind limbs, which may affect his ability to walk long-term.

He also suffered dental injuries, including fractured teeth that will need to be removed to prevent infection. In addition, Paco now requires ongoing medication to manage pain, inflammation, and support his recovery.

He now needs continuous medical care, medications, and physiotherapy to have a chance at walking again. However, even with treatment, recovery is not guaranteed.

We are a household with many responsibilities, and these unexpected medical costs are becoming overwhelming. We truly want to give Paco the best possible care and every chance to recover.
