Meet Ozzy — our 4.5-year-old Australian Shepherd, best friend to our 2-year-old daughter, loyal companion to our 7-year-old Australian Shepherd Odin, and the happiest dog you could ever meet.

If you’ve ever had the opportunity to meet Ozzy, you’d know his tail never stops wagging. He is pure joy wrapped in fur — affectionate, gentle, endlessly energetic, and always ready to make someone smile. Whether he’s running around the yard, cuddling with our daughter, or following his big brother Odin everywhere he goes, Ozzy brings love and happiness into every moment of our lives.

Recently, our world was turned upside down.

Ozzy suddenly became very sick and required emergency surgery to remove multiple blockages from his small intestine. We were terrified, but hopeful that once the surgery was complete, he would finally be on the road to recovery.

Unfortunately, his fight isn’t over.

While the initial surgery was successful, he has since experienced complications during recovery. Ozzy has developed a serious infection near his incision site and now urgently requires another major surgery to prevent his body from reacting further to the infection.

So far, we have spent over $20,000 on emergency care, surgery, hospitalization, and recovery. The next surgery and continued treatment are expected to cost north of $10,000.

We are doing everything we can to give Ozzy the care he needs, but the financial burden has become overwhelming. Asking for help is not easy, but any support — whether through a donation or sharing this page — would mean so much to our family.

Watching him go from his playful, happy self to struggling through pain and recovery has been heartbreaking. Ozzy still has so much life, love, and happiness in him, and we are hopeful this next surgery will help him fully recover and get back to being the same gentle spirit that makes everyone fall in love with him.
