(Updated) My name is Christina and I’m organizing this fundraiser for my uncle and our family during this incredibly difficult time. Our beloved Uncle Gerry has recently been diagnosed with small cell lung carcinoma(a very aggressive lung cancer). Aside from lung cancer, my uncle is also battling cancer in his bones, liver and atop his brain. At the exact same time & in the same month of finding out my uncle was sick, we also found out the health insurance he had for years was a scam/fraudulent. Worst timing in the world!!! Gerry was left with no health insurance to proceed with all the proper tests he needed to properly diagnose him and to get him into treatment. All the medical bills are now heavily rolling in. This has caused a major financial burden for my uncle and major heartbreak for my family and I.
The last thing my uncle wants is to ask for support, but we wouldn’t be asking if it wasn’t truly needed. We’re asking for any support you can give whether that’s a donation, sharing this page, or simply keeping him in your thoughts.
Every contribution will go directly toward helping ease the stress on him and our family so he can focus on what matters most: fighting and healing.
