Hello!

My name is Nick Young and I’m a tap dancer from Wisconsin, now residing in Los Angeles.

Over the past few years I have been developing a narrative short film that finally filmed this past February. I continue to feel so much gratitude to everyone that has been involved with this project at every level. It really does take a village and I am so proud of what we were able to accomplish.

While the pre-production process and the filming itself is now complete, there is still much more to do as we settle into post-production, which is why I'm asking for your help.

I have been saving strategically for the past few years to self fund this project, as we strive to have the very best team (paid in full for their service and expertise), and the best overall production value we can muster. I feel very privileged to have had the means to get the project this far, but I am asking for some additional support to cross the finish line.

We are seeking an additional $10,000 to help us complete the post production process. This money will go toward the time and labor for editing, sound mixing, and perhaps most importantly, the complete orchestral arrangement of the original song that anchors the film. Any additional funds will go toward festival submissions. The images that you’re viewing provide a peek into the production process and the artists involved, but the film will require an additional team to ensure that it reaches its final form.

I am so incredibly proud of what we are creating. This film combines a comedic approach to modern day friendship with the expressive and energetic art of tap dance, and I’m excited to share it with the world later this year.
