On March 19, 2025, our incredibly strong and selfless mother, Niva Aponte, completed her final round of chemotherapy and was officially in remission. It was a moment of great hope — one we had all prayed for.

Then on June 22, she was unexpectedly hospitalized after becoming seriously ill. After a series of tests, we received heartbreaking news: the cancer has returned. It has now spread to her brain, and it was confirmed that her lymphoma is back.

This setback has placed a tremendous strain on her physically, emotionally, and financially.

Our mother is well known in the community as an advocate — someone who would give you the shirt off her back without hesitation. Her heart for others has always guided her, and she has consistently shown up for people in need.

Now, she is the one who needs support.

Her ongoing battle with cancer and this recent relapse have placed a severe burden on her financial stability. Between countless medical appointments, ongoing treatments, and hospital visits, the expenses are mounting — and she simply cannot manage it all on her own.

We are humbly asking for your help. Any amount you can give will go directly toward easing the financial pressure she is under and allowing her to focus on healing and staying strong during this next chapter of her fight.
