I am Amber and I’m reaching out on behalf of my incredible mom, Lisa, who was recently diagnosed with throat cancer. April 1st was the day she was diagnosed and without having time to truly process, two days later her sister passed away. This has been a life-changing and heartbreaking journey for our family. My mom has started chemo-therapy and radiation this week and we will she how she improves in the next 7 weeks. Today is her first treatment and already has $35,000 worth of medical bills. My mom is the heart of our home and the best nana we could ask for. Seeing her go through this is heartbreaking to say the least. She is strong. She's always doing for others, but now she needs our love and support more than ever.

My dad is self-employed and he has been by her side every moment. He’s doing everything he can to support her through doctor visits, treatments, and recovery. While still rasing my two sisters at home. But because he works for himself, being there for my mom means not being able to work consistently — which has put a major strain on our finances. Unfortunately, insurance is not covering many of the critical treatments, medication, and travel expenses. We are doing everything we can, but it’s becoming more than we can handle on our own.

We’re asking for help — from friends, family, and even kind strangers — to help my mommy. Every donation goes directly to her care and to helping our family stay afloat while we walk this difficult road together.
