Hello, my name is Julie, and I’m starting this fundraiser on behalf of my amazing mom, Karen, who was recently diagnosed with breast cancer in December 2024.

My mom had a double mastectomy on February 19, 2025, which just so happened to be the 8-year anniversary of when she had a heart attack (02/19/2017). Since then, she took a long time healing from surgery and has started chemotherapy.

This has been an incredibly difficult time for our family. With surgery, chemotherapy, multiple complications, and being sick (such an understatement), my dad has had to take time off work to care for her and help with appointments. My dad is a self-employed Electrician with a Social Worker heart. He has no days off and no "PTO." My parents do not know that I'm starting this GoFundMe, but everyday expenses are an added stress that should be the least of their worries.

I'm asking for help to ease the financial burden so my parents can focus on what matters most: her recovery. Your donation will go directly toward household bills, transportation to treatments, and anything else that helps lighten the load during this fight.
