This week, our dad Guillermo “Billy” Aranda was hit by a truck while crossing the street and is now on life support with catastrophic brain injuries. Our dad is a very loved man—he has five children, two grandchildren, and has been married to our mom, Vivian, for 40 years. Born and raised in El Sereno, California. He attended Farmdale, ESMS, and Wilson. He is a dedicated, hardworking, loving husband and father. He blessed us with the best childhood and with unforgettable memories. Throughout our childhood, he coached each of us in different sports at El Sereno Park. He helped coach my brothers' football team with the Stallions, basketball and baseball. He is known and respected throughout our city, a poker master, a die-hard Raider fan, and the hardest working man you will ever know—never once complaining about it. Our dad loves us, protects us, and always provided us with anything we need. He is our King and hero always coming to the rescue with no hesitation. He is the definition of a true man and an honorable father. The love he has for our mom is unimaginable and unlike any other love ever known.
