Alan is my ex-husband and everybody’s friend. Anyone who knows Alan is aware of his terrifying medical ordeals over the last several years. As a result of this, he is experiencing mounting expenses, to include high health insurance copayments and deductibles, fees from the disability claim process, and countless days of missed work. Although his issues still plague him, he has kept his jolly attitude that we all know and love. But I see the toll this has taken on him. He would never ever ask for help, instead would insist on helping everybody else. He is trying every day to keep his head up and above water, and just to keep going.
