Update 11/19/24: Tyler is now in the hospital for the 2nd time in a month for a driveline infection. He is currently waiting to be put on the transplant list, but until then we are currently in and out of the hospital. We are struggling financially since it takes almost a year for disability pay to kick in, so I only have my income to support our family of 4 with the medical bills that we have received as well as food, rent, utilities and daily living. Please give what you can if nothing at all please pray that he starts healing and gets stronger!!

Some of you know my husband Tyler Powell but some of you may not, but on July 21st he got diagnosed with advanced stage congestive heart failure due to his heart only functioning at 5% at the age of 36 and has been a huge shock to our family of 4 which includes a 4 year old and 4 month old. He just recently got the LVAD on August 7th which is a left ventricular automatic device, which helps out with his left side of his heart which was under 5% function. His right side of his heart is still only functioning at 17% but has gotten better due to medication. With that being said he will eventually have to undergo a heart transplant down the road, but in the meantime he will not be able to return back to his current job due to the recovery period. This procedure alone totals over $500,000 which we don’t know how it will be paid. During this time if you can find a place in your heart to help us out with the cost of medication, bills and the occasional to go meal when I don’t feel like cooking for our family of 4 I would be most grateful.
