Help Support Our Family During This Heartbreaking Time

Hi, my name is Madison. Our family is going through the unimaginable right now after the passing of my little sister, Erin. She filled our lives with so much love, laughter, and light, and her absence has left a hole that words can’t describe.

I’ve created this GoFundMe to help ease some of the financial burden our family is facing as we grieve and honor Erin’s memory.

We’re raising funds to help cover the cost of Erin’s cremation and celebration of life service, as well as to support my mom until she’s able to go back to work. My mom is currently unable to return to our home, so she’s staying with family and friends for now. Even though she has a place to stay, she still has her bills and there are still extra expenses for food, travel, and daily needs

Her vehicle is also still in Alabama, because she had to fly with Erin to New Orleans for medical care, so she’ll need to get it back home soon.

Because Erin spent long periods in the hospital and my mom never left her side and she required full-time care when she was home, my mom wasn’t able to work enough to save for funeral costs or extended time off. She doesn’t yet know when she’ll be able to return to work, and as a family, we’re doing our best to support one another through this overwhelming loss.

We have already shared my mom’s Cash App, PayPal and Venmo for those who wanted to help directly as Go Fund Me does charge fees and take some of the money and many people have been so generous. Some have asked for a formal donation platform, so I’m setting up this GoFundMe to make it easier and give everyone another option to contribute in whatever way they feel most comfortable.

Any amount—big or small—will truly make a difference and help ease some of the stress during this incredibly difficult time, allowing us to focus on grieving and healing as a family. If you’re not able to donate, sharing this fundraiser or keeping us in your prayers means just as much.
