Hello!! My name is Destiny & my husband’s name is Richie. My husband, and i met when we were just 14 years old, and then reconnected again when we were 24, dated, fell inlove quickly, got engaged; and got married on Sep. 14th, 2019. I was diagnosed with possible premature ovarian failure at a young age; which means my ovarian reserve was lower than normal and going down hill quickly. I’m a complicated case to say the least and have been told a lot of different things throughout the years. I had told my husband prior to us dating about my low chance of having a baby the old fashioned way (if we would get to that point.) He didn’t bat an eye. He wanted me for me. It came time that we wanted to try for a baby, and persue our dreams of being parents. We knew how hard it could potentially be, and it is proving how hard it really is. The reality of it has become a roller coaster for us. Previous doctors did not want to help much, but we recently got a new doctor who was willing to help. She tried an hybrid timed medicated fertility cycle with us earlier this year. This consisted of clomid orally, Gondal-F injections, monitoring, and trigger shots.... It worked! I responded so well, ovulated, and blood tests show things worked.....We were over the moon. Unfortunately that ended in a what they call a chemical pregnancy. Where it did not stick. We wouldnt have known if we weren’t having a medicated cycle, and testing very frequently. None the less though- it was a huge loss for us. We were devastated. It did show that ovarian failure may not be the right diagnosis for me since I responded pretty well, which was a good thing! So they were willing to keep helping. We didn’t give up though....but then we got a new doctor, and they sent me for new tests, and besides having problems with egg quality and ovulation issues; the tests show that now for some reason; both my fallopian tubes are potentially blocked. They wanted to do another procedure to try and unblock them, but unfortunately insurance does not cover that and there is absolutely no guarantee that will work, so my doctor is talking about possibly a surgery, and another procedure to try and unblock them...if insurance covers it. If that plan fails- he says our only option would be IVF. Which is very very expensive and not covered by insurance at all. If he can some how unblock them and we can try the fertility treatments(which is quite costly too for multiple rounds and are also all out of pocket) that we did in the past- he’s willing to do that, only if he can get the tubes unblocked....but either way we are looking at an extended bumpy expensive roller coaster. It has been mentally, physically, and financially draining so far to say the least. This is something we want with all our hearts and souls and are working very hard to achieve it, but we need some help with financial costs of fertility treatments and most likely IVF (since this may be our best and last chance). I speak to our doctor next week. We aren’t giving up, but if you can find it in your hearts to help support us; we’d appreciate it so much. Everyone that knows us, knows we honestly never ask for help, and feel bad for doing so, but with costs being outrageously expensive- we just need a little help creating our little family. Thank you & God bless!!
Sending our love to all of you!
