Hello! We are a team of Brooklyn-based emerging artists, filmmakers, and composers excited to share our newest dance film, Ode to Another Self!

Directed by Summer Sierra, choreographed by Julia Asher in collaboration with the dancers, camera, color & credits by Niko Noel, and composed by Sarah Senior, this project has been a true collective effort.

Ode to Another Self is a dance film exploring the notion that every choice we make impacts the trajectory of our lives. By examining small and pivotal moments, we aim to uncover the potential selves that exist in the realm of “what might have been.” At its core, Ode to Another Self is an elegy for the lives not lived. It encapsulates the sorrow and contemplation that arise when we reflect on the paths we did not take and the selves we did not become.

After more than a year of creation, we are thrilled to begin premiering the film across the country. As funding for the arts becomes increasingly difficult to secure, we are turning to our community to help make this possible. Our goal is to raise $900, with the first $500 generously matched by an anonymous donor.

Every dollar raised will go directly towards reimbursing the costs of production - including dancer pay, rehearsal space, camera equipment, and other essential expenses.
