This Christmas, we were fortunate to spend the holiday with our dad, capturing what would be our last photo before we began facing the same hardship we experienced with him ten years ago. Not long after, he was rushed to the hospital. Although we managed to bring him home briefly, he was admitted again just two days later, this time with more severe, life-threatening complications.

While many people welcomed the New Year, my father was being intubated and admitted to the ICU, where he remains hospitalized. As he focuses on his recovery, he’s understandably worried about the financial responsibilities awaiting him at home. We want to make sure he can heal without the added stress of mounting bills.

My dad’s resilience has always been a source of inspiration. Even with his lifelong struggle against polio, he has pushed forward and kept our family’s household running. He has never been one to ask for help, but as you can imagine, he is worried about everything during this uncertain time, and we’re hoping to ease his burden so he can focus on healing.

We’ve set up this GoFundMe to help cover his immediate medical expenses and provide some support for his monthly bills until he’s back on his feet. Any contribution—no matter how small—will make a difference and give my dad peace of mind as he recovers.
