Our dad recently suffered a heart attack at just 55 years old — something extremely uncommon at his age — and it has turned life upside down for him and our family. While we are beyond grateful that he is still with us, his recovery means he can’t return to work right now. As the sole breadwinner, this has left our family facing a very difficult financial reality.

Since his heart attack, Dad has already undergone two operations to place stents in his heart. He is regularly back and forth from the hospital in Edmonton, meeting with a team of cardiologists to carefully monitor ongoing blockages and clots. At this time, surgery is not an option, and we are hopeful that the stents will do the work to stabilize his heart. His road to recovery will be long and closely monitored.

He does not have short-term disability, so there is no income coming in while he heals. With two young teens active in sports and a wife running her own small business, the loss of his income is putting a huge strain on our family.

Beyond being a hardworking husband and father, Dad has always given back to his community. He proudly helps coach the local Senior Broncs football team, pouring his time and heart into supporting youth on and off the field. Now, we’re asking for support to help him and our family in return.
