MUTUAL AID REQUEST

Dear community, for the past 3 years, I have been undergoing treatment for Multiple Myeloma, a blood/bone cancer. I was in remission for about a year and a half, but just recently have relapsed and have had some difficulty with my treatment, requiring significant recovery time (for all of the details ad nauseum, feel free to read more in my blog here). My oncologist is also recommending a cutting edge treatment later this year called CAR T-cell therapy that will require a month or more of recovery. During the past 3 years I have already used my extended sick leave, and am now in a position of having to use my extended sick leave at 50% salary. I estimate that this year, I will lose half of my salary for around 3 months. This will put my family in a financially challenging situation.
