Help Support our Beloved Mother Zenaida

My name is Zelina Uy Reboja and I am reaching out to your generous hearts to help my family who are going through a deeply difficult time both emotionally and financially. A few months ago, we lost our father and to this day are still coping with the expenses brought about by his unexpected demise.

Our mother, Zenaida, was diagnosed with cancer last April 2025 and has been bravely facing serious health challenges after being admitted to the hospital at the beginning of May. Since her confinement in the hospital, a panel of doctors have been working to stabilize her lung condition so that they can prepare her for cancer treatment. This included multiple trips to the operating room for various surgical procedures to drain her lungs from the accumulating fluid, leaving her body very frail and much too weak to fight off infection and the devastating effects of her illness. Every day, since her confinement, is a constant struggle to breathe, to take the nourishment needed to recover her health, but she has yet to give up hope, to give in to this disease. But now, she’s the one in need of care -- our care, our generosity, our kindness as she battles multiple life-threatening medical conditions—without insurance and with limited financial resources.

My mother has always cared for others and has been a caregiver her entire life, not only to her children but also to other people's sons or daughter including their own children. When we were young, she has always been able to calm a crying baby or soothe our pain when we ourselves have some ailments, a mother to anyone and everyone of us in our family. To her old age, her immensely huge heart has room to still care for her 2 older sisters who are already in their silver years. She is well-respected by her friends and neighbours and is always sought for advice and comfort. It is always a joy to hear her talk about everyday things that happen to her, as she's always lived a life of contentment, kindness and simplicity.

As the doctors continue to provide medical intervention to extend her life, her medical expenses also continue to rise. And while her entire family are doing their best to manage this, they are now confronted with a huge dilemma of settling her mounting hospital bills. They have fully exhausted their savings and are now with personal financial challenges of their own. While we would not usually solicit for financial assistance from other people, they are without a doubt facing a desperate situation in two fronts, the life of our mom and the enormity of their financial obligations.

I am appealing to your kindness and generosity to help our family with the overwhelming cost of her medical treatment and caregiving expenses. Please help us in any amount that you are able to share to help cover expenses for:
