Hi all,
Otto joined my family last December when he was only 6 months old and quickly became an important part of us. This past Thursday (5/22), I took Otto to the vet when I noticed that he was not eating or drinking and seemed lethargic. It was revealed that he had a urinary disease that caused a blockage in his bladder. This required a catheter insertion and a couple days overnight at a hospital. He came back home Saturday (5/24), but I had to bring him back due to a fever with a possibility of an infection. He is currently being treated overnight, but the doctor has told me that if his condition worsens, he would need to have an extensive stay at the hospital with a possibility of a urinary surgery if his blockage returns.
The catheter insertion treatment cost $4600 with each 12-hour stay at the hospital costing about $1000. The potential urinary surgery if the blockage returns would cost around $3000 - $4000. The cost of these treatments alone have caused a huge financial burden on me and my family, and we would not be able to afford any further treatment for him.
Please consider donating to Otto's treatment in anyway you can! I love Otto very much and I would really appreciate any support you can give!
