My name is Tanis and I am the author of the paper "Suggestions to improve outcomes for male victims of domestic abuse: a review of the literature." It is available online here https://doi.org/10.1007/s43545-021-00263-x or as a PDF here https://link.springer.com/content/pdf/10.1007/s43545-021-00263-x.pdf.  I believe this paper is an important piece of work that both highlights some of the direct experiences of male victims of domestic abuse and provides several suggestions based on the literature to help address dismissive societal attitudes and improve accessibility of services for this vulnerable population of individuals.

 

I paid out of pocket to make this research open access because I believe that the cause is an important one and I want as many people as possible to be able to have access to these suggestions. The exact amount that I paid is technically higher than the amount I am asking here but even if people did want to donate towards it I would not ask people to cover the total cost--I want to say that I have contributed to it as well, more than just the time and effort I put into writing it.
