Help Support Norman’s Family with Funeral Costs

Norman Gaskill passed away on Thursday May 25th 2023 after sustaining injuries from a car accident on Wednesday May 18th in the early hours of the morning. Complications from the accident in combination with his battle with Stage 5 Kidney Disease led to heart failure at 6:22am at Riverside Community Hospital in Riverside, California.

Norman was a professional truck driver, a lover of animals, an uncle, a son, and a brother. He was a Christian man who had a passion for music, played the guitar, worked on cars, and taught his nieces lessons in safe driving that he had learned during his years as a professional driver. He was born on February 8th 1961 in Philadelphia PA. He grew up in New Jersey where at seventeen he left home to be a roadie on the East Coast. In 1981 he moved to Southern California where he spent the remainder of his years, which were shared with his dogs Nucky and Samantha.

He is survived by his mother Sandra, Sandra's husband David, sister Thea, nieces Amelia and Francesca, stepsister Keri and was preceded in passing by his brother Roland and father Norman. His family are working hard to cover all arrangements, and his body has recently been released from the coroner's office to the funeral home where his memorial service will be held. We are asking for your support in helping the family with the costs of holding his service and cremation. We are asking for 8,000 to cover the following costs:

Basic Services and Facility: 2100
Cremation and Care of Body: 2266
Urn and Keepsakes: 870
Memorial Ceremony: 995
Death Certificates: 120
Additional Costs of Service: 620
Unexpected Expenses: 789
Go Fund Me Fee: 240

We have done all we can to minimize costs while honoring Norman. Due to the unexpected nature of Norman’s passing, many affairs were not in order and the family does not currently have the funds to pay for his funeral services and it has put the family in a strenuous financial position.

We are so grateful for any and all support received. We would like to offer a special thanks to Mako who is both a friend, family, and a professional in memorial services who has helped walk us through every step of the arrangements and will be our funeral director. We also have deep gratitude to the man who was the witness and who stood by Norman’s side and talked with him while paramedics made their way to the scene of the accident. While we do not have a date for a service at this time, we will continue to keep you updated along the way. Thank you again for your help during this trying time. It truly makes a difference for our family.
