A few weeks ago Nida left our home for the weekend after saying goodbye to our twin 3 year old girls that she looked after like they were her own. Unfortunately she never made it back to our house on Monday.

Tragically, Nida suffered a fatal stroke brought on by a brain tumour nobody knew she had. It has been hard for my family to say goodbye to Nida who played such an important role for the last 2 years in our home, but it has been infinitely more difficult for her husband in Ireland and her children back home in the Philippines. 

Nida was a happy and patient woman who had the perfect temperament for dealing with children. The speed at which she left us is difficult to process, it was all so sudden. She was only 52 years old and had so much of her life ahead of her.

Nida and her husband Flori had planned to go home to see their four children last year but Covid put those plans on hold. She has lived and worked in Ireland for the last 20 years and spent most of that time sending as much money to her family as possible to help pay for a mortgage on their home in the Philippines - one of many examples of her selfless nature. 

We would like to raise funds to send Nida home to her final resting place and support her husband during this tough time. Any donation no matter how small will be greatly appreciated. Nida dedicated her life to helping others, hopefully we can now help her.
