Rallying for Remy!

Nicolette has been a dedicated employee of mine since 2017. We are so grateful for her and all she has done for our business, that we couldn’t be happier to rally behind her and help her family in there time of need with baby Remy.

Nicolette gave birth to her third son, Remy, on July 28th, 2021 and what was supposed to be a short maternity leave (that she didn’t want to take at all) has turned into a 3+ month leave from work due to her baby being in the NICU still. Remy developed an infection after birth that led to septic shock and respiratory failure. He spent 8 days on ECMO and when he came off, it was assumed that everything was okay and he would be home soon. Unfortunately, he has since been diagnosed with Pulmonary Hypertension which is a rare and progressive disease that has no cure. Nicolette and her husband are back and fourth from the hospital every single day, splitting time between their sons at home and with Remy in the hospital. She spends a minimum of 8 hours a day with Remy at the hospital and despite her original plans to be back to work by now, Remy has other plans and is still hospitalized. They are working toward getting him home, but as of right now, there is no discharge date in mind while they try to stabilize his heart/lungs. He is set for another heart procedure on November 22nd which will hopefully give them more answers. Nicolette is currently receiving Family Leave Insurance which has allowed her to stay out of work this long, but it is ending soon. This gofundme will allow her to stay out of work a few weeks longer, so she can continue to focus on Remy and stay with him in the hospital which is so important right now.
