Help Support Nick’s Medical Journey After a Sudden Cancer Diagnosis

Hi, my name is Kelly Reeves, and I’m reaching out to ask for your support on behalf of my dear friend, Nick.

Nick is a hardworking and selfless individual who has dedicated himself to serving and supporting military efforts. Recently, while preparing for an upcoming deployment, Nick experienced severe chest pain and difficulty breathing. He was medevaced by the U.S. Coast Guard and hospitalized, where doctors initially diagnosed him with pneumonia and fluid in his lungs.

As his condition worsened, the hospital prepared him for surgery to relieve the fluid buildup. But during prep, doctors discovered a mass on his bronchi, which was later confirmed to be cancer.

To make matters more difficult, Nick had unknowingly let his health insurance lapse due to a missed renewal deadline—something that happened during an incredibly demanding period of work and training. Despite every effort on his companies part to get his coverage reinstated or backdated, we’ve been unable to secure insurance to cover his mounting medical costs.

Nick is young, strong, and determined, but the financial burden of treatment, surgeries, and follow-up care is overwhelming. I’m asking for your help to raise funds that will go directly toward his medical bills, recovery expenses, and support as he fights this unexpected battle.
