Hi, my name is Stephanie, and I am raising funds for my cousin Nick Headley.
On the night of Monday, July 21, Nick was involved in a serious accident while working his overnight paving shift in Richmond Hill. He was struck by a vehicle and has been in a coma ever since. Right now, doctors are doing all they can, but it’s still too soon to know how this will affect his recovery long-term.
Nick sustained multiple injuries, including a broken leg that required surgery, a fractured jaw and skull, and other complications from the impact. Even though Nick was wearing his hard hat on the job, he has a traumatic brain injury from his head hitting the windshield. He’s receiving excellent care, but his healing journey will take time — and the road ahead is filled with unknowns.
What Your Donation Will Help With
Nick’s medical treatment is covered by OHIP, but the cost of everything else is falling entirely on his Dad and Stepmom, who are doing everything they can to stay strong during this emotional nightmare.
They are currently covering:
Travel and daily parking costs to visit him in the hospital
Missed work to be by his side
Last month’s rent and bills so Nick doesn’t fall behind
Lawyer’s fees and union dues connected to his job and accident
Any donation — big or small — will go directly to his immediate family to cover these pressing costs and relieve just a bit of the enormous pressure they’re under.
How You Can Help

We’ll keep this page updated as we get more information and as Nick’s recovery progresses.
Thank you for showing love to Nick and his family during this heartbreaking time.
