New Chords is on the block once again! For the 2025-2026 season, we are hoping to raise more funds than ever!

We have been working hard to prepare and perfect our self-composed set for gigs and the upcoming 2026 ICCA competition, and would love your help getting us there.

But first, a little more about us: New Chords on the Block is Ohio University's premier coed competitive acapella group, consisting of 18 members from a variety of different majors. Our group performs around campus, collaborating with other acapella groups and faculty. New Chords on the Block was the 2025 ICCA Midwest Quarterfinal Runners-Up, moving on to the Semifinal stage of the competition. At our Quarterfinal, we received one of the specialized awards from the judges. That award was given to our Music Director, Colton Davis, for Outstanding Arrangement for our rendition of "Love in the Dark" by Adele. After getting into the studio in the spring, we are proud to announce that our cover is now available on all streaming platforms to listen to for your enjoyment! We are so excited for not only this upcoming competition season but the whole year overall and can't wait for it to begin!
