Help support Nate, Noelle and 10wk early baby girl
Hi, my name is Annmarie and I am fundraising for Nate and Noelle Lamb and their precious new baby girl Nevaeh Lamb.
On Monday, July 26th Noelle went in to see her doctor due to extreme swelling in her feet and was readily diagnosed with preeclampsia. On Tuesday, July 27th doctors decided that she needed to be flown from Cheyenne County Hospital to PSL in Denver where she could get the necessary care to treat her high blood pressure and her potentially preemie baby.
Without getting to say their goodbyes, Noelle was taken in an ambulance to the airport where she would be flown to CO and her husband Nate was left to pack a quick go bag and drive down the meet them at the hospital.
Being only 29.6 weeks pregnant, doctors told Noelle that she would have to be closely monitored in the hospital for the next 5 weeks until she reached 34 weeks. Unfortunately, things escalated quickly and that was no longer an option. With Noelle's high blood pressure continuing and no sign of getting it under control, doctors made the decision that her baby needed to delivered immediately. With what was supposed to be her baby's almost 30 week milestone, turned into her unexpected delivery day.
At 29.6 weeks pregnant on Friday, July 30th, Nevaeh Lamb was delivered via c-section at 10;45 a.m. weighing only 2.3 lbs and 13 inches long. Nevaeh is a NICU baby and could be in the NICU until October 9th, which was her original due date. Since Nevaeh's birth she has been diagnosed with jaundice and has been on and off the phototherapy light.
On Friday, August 6th doctors removed Nevaeh's umbilical catheter and new mommy Noelle was able to hold her baby for the first time since she was born. With preemie restrictions in place, new dad Nate will get to hold his daughter for the first time on Saturday, August 7th.
Although Nevaeh wasn't supposed to make her entrance into to the world for another 10 weeks, God had other plans for their family. Lucky for her, she has a great team of doctors looking after her and report that she is a happy and healthy baby girl.
As for Nate and Noelle, this unexpected medical journey will leave them with some financial burdens that I hope can be slightly eased with the help of your generosity!
Noelle will be living in Colorado for the next few months with her mom making frequent and daily visits to the hospital, while her husband Nate will be going back home to Kansas for work during the week and driving back to Colorado on weekends.
If you feel compelled to donate or help in any way, these funds will be so appreciated and used to help support this amazing family with their first child. Once their baby is cleared to go home, they will be almost 3 months behind on getting things prepared for baby's arrival. Your donations will help in a multitude of ways!
Thank you all! And of course please LIKE and SHARE.
