TRANSLATION:
'Yoga saved my life.
When practicing for those couple of hours I wouldn't think of anything but my breath.
Yoga does cure, but daily.
I thought I knew heaps, but the deeper I go into practice I realise how little I know.'

I have had the pleasure of knowing Nastaran Kiani for almost 10 years, and in that time have witnessed her both incredible and incredibly challenging journey from becoming an Australian citizen to returning home to her native Iran.

I have also had the pleasure of watching Nasi's transformation from afar via the pictures she posts of her practice online. I have watched as Yoga has become an anchor for my friend in a life she has lived as mostly unsettled and uncertain. She has and continues to inspire me with her dedication and determination.
All the same, Nastaran continues to face challenges while living in Iran. Namely, sanctions from my own native USA threaten her livelihood.

And yet the journey continues...
Nastaran has reached out and is asking for support in another challenging chapter of her story. She would like to continue her Yoga studies to deepen her practice and continue her personal growth, but she cannot do it without the support of her friends, family, and the wider community.
She is asking for funds totally $3200 to cover the cost of travel to India and Australia as well as course fees. This amount, though on the smaller end of crowdfunding goals, would take a significant amount of time for her to earn in Iran. And Nastaran is not prepared to give up on her goals & dreams just yet.
In her words:
'Yoga saved my life. When practicing for those couple of hours I wouldn't think of anything but my breath. Yoga does cure, but daily. I thought I knew heaps, but the deeper I go into practice I realise how little I know.'

Join me in helping Nasi deepen her practice by donating any amount big or small xo
