Help Support My Stepmom After My Father’s Unexpected Passing

On Monday, my father, Pat Dane, passed away after a sudden and heartbreaking diagnosis of stage 4 small cell neuroendocrine cancer. Just last week, we were told he had only days left with us, and within a week he was gone. None of us were prepared for how quickly this would happen.

My stepmom, Marie Dailey, who loved and cared for my dad through everything, is now left without the person who was her partner and provider for 20+ years. To make things even harder, their car broke down last week, bills are piling up, and she has no immediate family left to lean on in Southport. There was no will, no life insurance, and no safety net in place, and she’s now facing this future on her own.

I am starting this GoFundMe to help give her a chance at stability. Funds raised will go toward:

She has lost her husband, her support system, and the life they had built together. My hope is that, with your help, she doesn’t also lose her security and her future.
