Help support my sister's fight against cancer!

I am starting a GoFundMe page for my sister Amber. In December 2017, shortly after finishing her master's degree and just before her 30th birthday, Amber noticed she was having a hard time breathing, running out of breath while doing normal tasks like playing with her nieces and nephews (whom she is like a second mother to), working at a job she loves and playing with her Fur babies! So she made an appointment with her Doctor expecting to hear she had an upper respiratory infection or something else minor.



Much to all of our horror, her doctor sent her directly from the appointment to the hospital for testing where they found a large mass in her chest between her heart and lung. She was then given the news no one wants to hear, a diagnosis of a very aggressive form of Non Hodgkin's lymphoma. Neither she, nor those of us who love her so dearly realized what a battle she had before her.



Then just as she was starting her treatment plan Amber suffered a bout of diverticulitis which lead to two different hospital stays and then an emergency surgery that delayed her much needed treatment. Not only has she been unable to work since January 2018 her entire life has been turned upside down. This has kept her from the activities and time she has always loved spending with her family and friends. She has needed a lot of personal care which is not easy for such a strong independent woman to ask for.



While her husband Josh has done all he can to keep them afloat financially, working 2 jobs while supporting her throughout her treatments and needed home care, the bills as you can imagine have been astronomical. Their trips to and from the Cancer Center and surgeons are an hour each direction alone.



Unfortunately neither Amber's first chemo and radiation protocol or her second chemo and radiation protocol have been successful. Amber is now embarking on a fairly new and scary treatment called CAR-T Cell Therapy. The price of this treatment alone is more than anyone can afford but it is her only option. Josh will also be taking more time off of work to be there with Amber as this requires a minimum of a 2 week stay at the Cancer Center.



Amber is one of the strongest, most loving women you will ever meet. She is kind, compassionate, helpful and giving. It is extremely hard for this amazing woman to ask for help under normal circumstances, and let's face it, these are not normal circumstances. Both Amber and Josh have always been there to help and do whatever they can for everyone else.  Amber has always dreamed of becoming a mother. Both she and Josh have hopes of one day being able to start a family after this battle.



Please help me help them so they can concentrate on Amber beating this cancer and getting back on her feet and to the ones she loves and love her so dearly without the further stress of worrying about their financial situation. It has already been over a year long struggle with no let up. Any amount would help and I know they would thank you from the bottom of their hearts as I do mine.
