Help Support my Para-Standing Tennis Journey!

Donation protected
Hello everyone!

I’m reaching out to ask for your support as I continue my journey in para-standing tennis, a sport (tennis) that has been a cornerstone of my life for over 20 years.

At 18 months old, I was diagnosed with Right Sided Hemiplegia, Cerebral Palsy; my parents were determined not to let my impairment define me, and threw me into many sports. After being a kid and doing many sports, I fell in love with tennis.

Because growing up I didn't know much about Paralympic Sports, I ultimately wanted to be the "best" and I have had the privilege of competing at the national level against non-disabled players, including participating in British Tour level events. Tennis has been a source of inspiration, providing me with a strong sense of belonging and achievement. It has shaped my personal and professional growth through playing, coaching, and now, working within the sport.

Last year I stumbled across this format, para-standing tennis. I heard about international level tournaments, and in my own words I thought "why not, lets give it a go". Earlier this year, I achieved two major milestones by winning the European and World Championship doubles titles with my partner Ross Cudmore. I also came runner-up at both events in singles! This success has fueled my determination to continue competing at more para-standing events, both Nationally and Internationally. Para-standing tennis offers me the incredible opportunity to compete on an even playing field.

This September, I have been honored with an invitation from the United States Tennis Association to compete at the US Open in New York, one of tennis' four Grand Slams. This event has played host to many tennis icons, like Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Andy Murray, Serena and Venus Williams and Emma Raducanu! Getting an opportunity like this is "once in a lifetime" and definitely fuels me even more to support others who may not have thought tennis was for them!

With your support, the funds raised will go towards training/ coaching, equipment and travel costs, allowing me to represent Great Britain on the international stage, and in the first instance, the US Open, this September.

Thank you for considering supporting my journey!
