Hi all, as some of you may know, I have found a great interest in studying human anatomy, bones, and pathology while in college and have been working towards a future occupation as a medical examiner, death investigator, or bioarchaeologist - something that combines all things I love: history, forensics, and anthropology. This past December I was accepted into the Slavia Field School program concerned with mortuary archaeology in Poland. This opportunity would allow me to excavate medieval burial sites in Jankowo, Poland, and would give me more hands-on experience in a field that I love and long to know more about. This program runs for about 4 weeks from June 29-July 22. I plan on flying into Berlin, Germany, and then taking a train ride to my destination.
