Hello everyone,

My name is G-Mae, and as the eldest in our siblings I am humbly asking for your help for my mother, who is currently fighting for her life in the Philippines. She is now in a comatose state, and every day for us is filled with prayers, waiting, and hope that she will survive.

On December 29, she was brought to the emergency room due to severe coughing and difficulty breathing. She has Type 2 Diabetes, which may have weakened her body and worsened her lung condition, making her situation extremely critical. She was intubated, transferred to the ICU, and after a severe bleeding episode, her heart stopped and she required multiple CPR attempts (8) before her heartbeat returned. At present, she remains in a critical and comatose condition with a Glasgow Coma Scale score of 3/15.

We continue to fight for her, however the financial strain has become overwhelming. We are doing everything we can to lessen the financial difficulty by purchasing medications and medical supplies outside the hospital whenever possible.

As of now, her current hospital bill has reached approximately ₱300,000 and continues to increase every day. This amount does not yet include doctors’ professional fees, even though partial payments have already been made.

Because of her critical condition, she cannot be transferred to a public hospital. I am currently on leave from work in Canada and will be travelling back to Philippines soon, so I can be with my family and support them during this difficult time.

Any amount of help will go directly to her hospitalization, medications, and medical needs. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you so much for your prayers, support, and kindness. We will be forever grateful.
