My family’s home was lost in a fire that killed our 4 pets, Penny, Oliver, Herman, and Monty. It is a total loss and they only got out with the clothes on their backs, not even shoes. The fire was started by a lithium ion battery and ripped through our porch and kitchen; the entire house was engulfed in less than a minute. They were immediately helped by the Red Cross and put up in a hotel but have lost everything. Heirlooms, sentimental items, important documents, all gone. The process with insurance has started but there will be time before they can access any of those funds and they need to buy new clothes, hygiene products, etc. now. Truly anything helps and we appreciate it all.
