Hi, my name is Constance Garcia. I am a high school graduate of the North Carolina School of Science and Math. Since the time I was young academics has always been a passion of mine. I love all subjects and I do fairly well in them all, but my passion lies in poetry, culture, art, and politics. As an Afro-Latina, I have always loved to explore the difference between my cultures: African American and Belizean and this love has expanded to all cultures. My study abroad program in Argentina will help me gain love and experience of the Argentinian culture, I will gain a whole new perspective of poetry and art, and I will gain insight and enlightenment into how people live outside of the United States and different cultural norms. In my life, I feel like I am taking my single mom's hard work and validating its true purpose by getting a full education and career. My goal in life and in these next few years is to use my confidence, intelligence, creativity, and willpower to make myself into a human being that pushes forward and chases her dreams. I have dreams of making change for the betterment of humanity, dreams of my own businesses, and dreams of peace and tranquility, I want a life where I can better the community around me while and even after building myself up, and my education is the first stepping stone.
