Hi, my name is Chrystal, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my amazing parents.
Recently, my dad suffered a traumatic brain bleed after a sudden fall. The injury left him wheelchair-bound and in urgent need of intensive therapy and specialized care—resources that we simply cannot afford. While we’re grateful he’s still with us, the journey ahead is long and full of challenges.
My mom has been his full-time caregiver since the injury, pouring every ounce of love and strength into supporting him around the clock. But it’s taken a toll on her physically and emotionally. She needs relief—some support so she can care for herself too, while continuing to stand by his side.
Before his injury, my dad was the definition of a handyman—always fixing, building, creating. If something broke, he could fix it. If something didn’t exist yet, he’d find a way to build it with his own two hands.
One of his biggest labors of love was the home addition he was building for my mom. He was nearly finished—three-quarters of the way there—pouring hours of effort, care, and craftsmanship into every board and nail. This wasn’t just a construction project; it was a gift for the woman he loves. A physical expression of his devotion.
But now, that addition stands unfinished.
His injury took away his ability to walk, work with his hands, and continue doing what brought him purpose. What was once a place of progress has become a painful reminder of how much has changed. And with my mom taking on the full-time role of caretaker, they both need support more than ever.
By donating or sharing, you’re helping us not just complete a building—but restore a piece of hope and peace to their lives.
We're humbly asking for help to:
- Fund rehabilitation and therapy sessions that insurance doesn’t cover
- Find accessible housing or modify/ Finish our current home to fit his new mobility needs
- Hire part-time caregiving support to give my mom a much-needed break
Your kindness will mean the world to us. Whether it’s a donation, a share, or simply keeping our family in your thoughts—thank you.
Together, we can lift some of the weight and bring hope back into my parents’ lives. ❤️
