Help Support My Dad's Recovery Journey.

Hi, My name is Chantal White and I’m fundraising for my dad Michael Campbell.

My dad, Michael has recently been through an unexpected and incredibly challenging ordeal. What began as a perforated abdominal ulcer quickly escalated into a life-threatening situation as he developed sepsis. During his time in the ICU, he underwent intubation, sedation, and required a ventilator to support his breathing. He also endured multiple blood transfusions, dialysis, atrial fibrillation, sputum infection and tragically, multiple strokes.

But God has other plans for my dad, and I believe he was given a second chance at life for a reason. Despite all his body has gone through and his doctors not being sure of what the outcome would be my dad is now breathing on his own, speaking a little, moving both arms and legs and has regained most of his memory. To me that sounds like a miracle.

However, the road to recovery is long and challenging. My dad has been confined to a hospital bed for over a month, and he is now in the process of relearning how to walk. He still requires a feeding tube for nutrition, and he will need months of intensive physical therapy to regain full mobility due to the strokes he suffered. Additionally, there is second surgery looming on the horizon in a few months.

The financial burden of this medical journey is overwhelming. Despite having Medicare coverage, the out-of-pocket expenses for diagnostic tests, medications, medical equipment, outpatient therapy, specialists, and the ongoing care my dad needs is substantial. As a family, we are doing everything we can to support him emotionally and physically, but we are coming up short.

We are asking for any support that can be given through donations to help offset these costs. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a meaningful difference in my dad's recovery journey.
