My name is Cassidy, and I’m creating this gofundme on behalf of my parents, who are facing an overwhelming and heartbreaking medical situation.

My dad, 62 years old, has spent his entire life working hard for our family, from longhaul trucking to years on the oil rigs. He’s always been strong, humble, and kindhearted, and even now, he keeps an incredible spirit despite everything he’s facing. He’s a music lover, a storyteller, and the type of man who would give anything to help someone in need.

After 4 years of on and off radiation treatments my dad was advised there was no longer any treatments available for his metastasized, terminal thyroid cancer. He now relies on a G-tube and a Trach machine for his breathing and nutrition. After spending a month in the hospital, (October 16 to November 18, 2025) he has finally come home, but he requires constant care and specialized medical supplies.

Why We Need Help:

My parents live solely off my dad’s pension. My mom, 61 years old, who also struggles with her own medical issues such as arthritis and gastrointestinal issues, is unable to work. She has taken on the full responsibility of caring for my dad, managing his feedings, his medications, and his daily needs all while trying to navigate this incredibly emotional journey.

The medical supplies he needs cost roughly $1,000 per month, and they have been denied funding despite multiple attempts. These costs are simply more than they can afford on their fixed income, and the expenses continue to grow. I live far away and can’t be with them as much as I wish I could, and I just hope that this fundraiser can help in easing their financial burden.

Our Goal:

We are hoping to raise enough funds to cover 6–12 months of medical supplies and unexpected expenses so my parents can focus on what truly matters, comfort, care, and time together.
