Hi. I'm raising money to help my dad in his recovery from emergency surgery.
On March 28th my dad was rushed into emergency surgery for intestinal obstruction. He now requires the use of a temporary colostomy bag. Doctors estimated about a year long recovery period. They also said had he waited any longer he would have died. We are very lucky that he's alive and on the road to recovery.
He was deported in 2015. He currently lives in Mexico and all of us, his family, live in Illinois. For this to have happened with none of us near him is absolutely horrifying. My family and I do not have the luxury to drop everything and stay with him long term during his recovery. We are all actively trying to maneuver time off work in order to be there.
Fortunately my job gave me some time off in order to see him and help him. I'm incredibly thankful that I'm here with him so I can support him and help him get what he needs in order to heal. Unfortunately I have to return home. I am setting up an after care plan for him and that's where you can help. Anything that you're able to donate will help him get better. He won't be able to work and he faces medical bills plus regular bills. All money donated will be immediately directed towards him. Everything helps and is appreciated. Sharing this also helps very much.
Thank you for your support,
David, Clarisa, Charlie, Danny, and Adrian Alvarez and Sagrario Tapia-Alvarez
