My name is Megan Huber, and I’m starting this fundraiser for my dad, Bob Huber, who was recently diagnosed with small cell carcinoma — an aggressive form of lung cancer.

This diagnosis has turned our world upside down. In just a short time, my dad went from working hard every day to suddenly being unable to work at all. His doctors have recommended immediate, aggressive treatment, which will require all of his energy and focus.

As you can imagine, the financial strain is already overwhelming. Without his income, it has become extremely difficult to cover basic living expenses like mortgage, utilities, and groceries — on top of the mounting medical bills that come with cancer care.

My dad is not just my father — he’s my role model, my biggest supporter, and the person who would give the shirt off his back to help someone in need. Now, he’s the one who needs help.
