Help support Stanislav my coworker in Ukraine

I am organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my colleague and friend, Stanislav Gorodetskyi.

 

Stanislav has worked for me for a little over 2 years and until Feb 16 lived in Severynivka a town about 40km east of Kyiv with his wife and two small daughters aged 5 and 1. Due to increasing concerns regarding a possible Russian invasion, he rented an apartment in Poland on a short term lease and drove with his family over 1000 km away from his home. Stanislav had planned on returning back to Ukraine after getting his family settled; however, on Feb 24 those plans were dramatically altered when Russia launched a full scale invasion on his home country.

 

Since Feb 27, Stanislav has been leaving his wife and daughters in their new city each morning and driving 200km to the Ukrainian border to pick up people leaving Ukraine and driving them to safety and housing in Poland. As this war rages on, it has become apparent that they will not be able to return to their home any time soon, if at all.

 

Because of the nature of our positions, Stanislav will be able to relocate to Poland without disruption of his employment and he is applying for a work visa so that he and his family can remain in Poland on a long term basis; however, they only have the possessions they were able to pack in their car so they will not only need to find more long term housing, but they will need to purchase everything to furnish their new home.

 

We have all seen the news and realize the tremendous humanitarian crisis that is developing across east Europe as people flee their homes from the Russian bombs, tanks and soldiers. I am asking you to please consider contributing some of your hard earned money to support my colleague, my friend, as he and his family attempt to reestablish themselves in a new country.
