Help Support My Antarctic Research Journey
I have been given the incredible opportunity to join a once-in-a-lifetime research expedition to Antarctica aboard Le Commandant Charcot at the end of October. Over two weeks, I will be conducting marine mammal research, including surveys from the bridge across Drake Passage, hydrophone recordings from zodiacs in the Weddell Sea, and learning a wide range of invaluable research techniques. I will also have the honor of giving scientific presentations to guests on board and collaborating with scientists from around the world.
While the research itself is fully supported, I am responsible for covering the costs of travel to and from the ship, including a flight to Ushuaia, Argentina, and a short hotel stay before boarding. Due to the short notice of this opportunity, I haven’t had the chance to save up for these expenses, making outside support especially meaningful.
Asking for financial help is not easy, but I would be deeply grateful for any contribution, no matter the size. Your support will help make this incredible opportunity possible and allow me to share what I learn with others in the future.
Thank you so much for your generosity and encouragement!
