Hi, my name is Kristina Budai, and I’m a junior at Fillmore High School and a proud member of Fillmore FFA. Last year was my very first time raising a market goat, and even though it turned into one of the best experiences of my life, it also showed me just how much goes into raising an animal the right way. I went into the project not really knowing how expensive everything would be, but I still pushed through, learned so much, and grew as a showman.

This year, I want to do even better. I want to be prepared, I want to give my goat the best care from day one, and I want to take responsibility for the costs myself instead of putting that pressure on my parents. They’ve supported me so much already, and I don’t want my project to become a burden on them. That’s why I’m starting this GoFundMe, to plan ahead and ask for help from people who believe in supporting youth in agriculture.

Your support would go toward:

• Buying a healthy, competitive show goat

• Feed, hay, supplements, and proper daily care

• Vaccines, medical needs, and fair entry fees

I know not everyone wants to go to the fair and buy a goat, but so many people are willing to sponsor a kid who puts their whole heart into their project. Any amount truly helps; even the smallest donation makes a difference. It helps me grow as a leader, take better care of my animal, and continue building toward my future goals in livestock and animal science.

To show my appreciation, every single sponsor will have their name added to a banner that will hang on my goat’s pen at the Ventura County Fair. It’s my way of saying thank you to the people who believed in me and supported my project. Everyone who walks by my pen will be able to see your kindness and support.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. Thank you for supporting me, my goals, and my love for raising animals. Your support means more than you know, and I’m truly grateful for anyone willing to be part of my 2026 market goat journey.
