Help Support Mom’s Medical Journey

Hi, my name is Walter Hoffman and I’m creating this fundraiser for my incredible mother—a woman who’s spent her entire life giving to others and now needs a little help herself.

***Update Mom now needs an unprecedented and unplanned final 3rd surgery for her treatment to end. It was only originally 2 scheduled, but we just found out May 1st after the 2nd treatment***

Recently, my mom faced a serious and unexpected medical crisis: septic shock caused by a blocked kidney stone. It was a terrifying experience that landed her in the ICU and left her with ongoing complications and a long road to recovery. She also has a history of other health issues that make this healing process even more challenging.

She’s 68 years old, living on a very limited income, and her insurance only covers a small portion of the mounting medical expenses. Hospital stays, specialist visits, medications, and follow-up care are adding up quickly, and it’s becoming too much for her to manage on her own.

And to make this even more meaningful—this month is her birthday. She turns 68 on April 21st. What better gift than showing up for someone who has spent her life showing up for others?

My mom is the kind of person who has always put others first. Whether it was caring for family, helping neighbors, or volunteering her time, she’s always been a giver—never someone who asked for anything in return. Now, she’s in a position where she truly needs the love and support of the very community she’s poured herself into for so many years.
